4 Installation Instructions

Preparing the IBM IntelliStation Z Pro 6866 System

Avid systems cannot use the cable-arm bracket included in the

rack-mount kit. Avid cables are not long enough to extend with the

cable-arm bracket.

6. Separate the inner slide rail from the outer slide rail as follows:

a. Pull the inner slide rail until the safety latch locks (see

Figure 2).

b. Press in on the safety latch, and then pull the inner slide rail

firmly until it detaches from the outer slide rail (see Figure 2).

7. Align the holes on the inner slide rail with the holes on the side of

the IBM IntelliStation Z Pro 6866 system (see Figure 3).

8. Secure the inner slide rail with three short pan-head screws (see

Figure 3).

9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 to secure the inner slide rail to the other

side of the system.

Press the safety latch.

Pull firmly to detach.
